Valley of the Sun Victory Riders is hosting a group ride on July 22, 2023 to Lake Mary / Flagstaff, AZ.
Yet another northern ride to escape the valley heat - we'll be heading to Flagstaff by way of Happy Jack & Lake Mary (well, what's left of the lake anyway).
Meet up at Denny's located at 2717 W Bell Rd (aka the “Orphanage”) for 8 a.m. departure, then head 75 miles north on I-17 to Camp Verde. This will be a mandatory gas and potty stop, as we escape civilization and enter the pines - and not reach another gas station or restroom for another 45 miles / 60 mins.
Well continue east on AZ 260 towards Strawberry then north on Lake Mary Road thru Happy Jack and Mormon Lake, ending up at Bun Huggers in Flagstaff for lunch before noon.
After lunch, we'll head back down I-17 south and either stop back in Camp Verde (55 miles / 50 mins) for gas and a pitstop, or can power thru to Mayer (80 miles / 80 mins).
After a little break, we'll end up back at Denny's.
