Valley of the Sun Victory Riders is hosting a group ride on November 18, 2023 ride to Bagdad, AZ.
Is it Bagdad or Baghdad? Well... unless you want to go to the capitol of Iraq, it's gonna have to be Bagdad, AZ -- a cool, little copper mining community in the western part of the state.
The ride (from Phoenix to Wickenburg, Congress, Yarnell, and then Bagdad) is filled with desert beauty and lots of twists and turns in both directions. It's perfect for us motorcyclists!
Leaving Denny's (Bell Rd) at 8:00 AM and taking 17 North to Carefree Hwy (74) West to 60 West towards Wickenburg. Then to Shell in Congress for a short break.
Next, we'll head through Yarnell, Peeples Valley, Hillside and end up in Bagdad, where we'll stop at The Diner on Main for breakfast/lunch. Google says The Diner closed, but I confirmed they'll reopen on 11/18. Also confirmed Copper Country Bar & Grill will be open for lunch at 11AM as a backup plan.
Afterwards, we'll head back the same way towards Phoenix.
