3We start in Ontario, Ca. 10 days later we are mission complete in Arlington, Va. This Run was started in 1998 by a couple Vietnam Veterans to raise awareness of our POWs/ MIAs. As of Jan 5th, 2019 there were 82,147 (from all US conflicts since WW2) soles who's families have no closure on. All they know for sure is that their Loved One went to war and never returned. You can do one day or as many as you want, more info is available at RFTW.US...

3The Willamette Valley Victory Riders LC-92 are proud to host the 2021 VMC NW Regional Meet-In-The-Middle, July 22, 23, 24. This is a no-registration-fee event, in lieu of the typical regional meet. We won't have a formal banquet, auction or raffle; it's a chance for friends and like-minded folks to gather, ride the best bikes on earth, experience the beauty of the Willamette Valley, and exchange BS stories over a frosty adult beverage (or whatever your pleasure may be). We are planning a hamburger BBQ Saturday night, with a donation bucket to cover the cost of food. The WVVR will have a list of rides, maps, area attractions, and members to lead group rides. In order to get an estimate on attendance, a separate Facebook "Event" will be set up. It would help us out if you could mark "Going" on the event. At the end of the last ice age, rich, diverse soils were deposited in the 150-mile stretch between Portland and Eugene. Today the Willamette Valley’s abiding allure has everything to do with these soils — its farm-to-fork food scene, a world-class wine and beer industry and the pioneering nature of its people, who come here to build, to make and to live the good life. Our coast is lined with sandy beaches, hiking trails, lighthouses and one of the best motorcycle routes in the country, Hwy 101. Late July weather in the valley averages a high of 84 degrees. The hotel is located directly off the Interstate 5 freeway, minutes from downtown Salem, 58 miles from the Oregon coast, and 109 miles from the central Oregon high desert. They have a full service restaurant and lounge, swimming pool, and fitness center. We have a bloc of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn in Salem, OR. There is a choice of one king bed ($99/night) or two queen beds ($109/night). Breakfast is not included, but it can be added at booking. To register by phone, call 503.370.7888, and ask for the Victory Motorcycle Club bloc. To register online, click here: https://www.holidayinn.com/redirect?path=rates&brandCode=HI&localeCode=en®ionCode=1&hotelCode=slems&checkInDate=22&checkInMonthYear=062021&checkOutDate=25&checkOutMonthYear=062021&_PMID=99801505&GPC=MGF&cn=no&viewfullsite=true Should be fun. Hope you will plan to attend.

Since 2000, Victory Enthusiasts have met at the Great Lakes Regional Meet (GLRM) to exchange stories and share their passion for Victory motorcycles. What started as a small group is now a major meet and greet event attracting VMC folks from across the country. With this year signifying the 20th anniversary of the VMC, this event is especially important. Keeping in mind the traditions already laid upon us, this year's rally will move to the west shore of Michigan and pave the way for new traditions. The rally will focus on renewed interest in the VMC by focusing on the Victory brand and what it stands for. There will be guided rides on both Friday and Saturday that highlight the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline. There will also be offerings of “self-guided” rides for individuals to partake in. An ice-cream social on Friday will kick start the event followed by a pig roast on Saturday to round out the event. There will be plenty of time to socialize and enjoy all of what the VMC and the west shore have to offer. Folks will also be encouraged to explore the historic Victorian City of Manistee as well.
Manistee area also has a multitude of offerings including the historical downtown region, shopping, sandy beaches, light house, casino, breweries, restaurants, diners, and easy access to M-22; one of Michigan’s most beautiful motorcycle routes.
The name "Manistee" is from an Ojibwa word first applied to the principal river of the county. The derivation is not certain, but it may be from Ministigweyaa, "river with islands at its mouth." Other sources claim that it was an Ojibwe term meaning "spirit of the woods." Regardless of its exact meaning, the rally shall be named “Winding River Rally” to pay homage to the history of the region.
This year we chose to support a local organization dedicated to “providing education and limited financial assistance” to cancer patients in the five-county area: Benzie, Lake, Manistee, Mason and Oceana counties. We plan to donate proceeds collected from the event to the Lakeshore Community Cancer Foundation which was named for the late Sally K. Johnson, former director of nursing at both West Shore Community College and Ferris State University. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, then treated; diagnosed with lung cancer, then treated; and eventually died of metastatic cancer. While undergoing treatment, she put the fund into motion. The foundation is recognized as a 501C-3 not-for-profit agency, and any donations made are tax-deductible. For more information about the fund or to apply (any adult diagnosed with cancer is eligible), call 239-4017 or email email@example.com.
