  1. I'm sorry but I know Grambo and am not interested in spooning, no matter how much Fireball Dave C. brings. 😆😆😆 But I can bring a one-person sleeping bag if it will help.
  2. Paul, Since the wife isn't coming along this year, I'm interested in going all the way....to your place. 🙂
  3. Hey everyone, here's some info on the route for this leg. Link to route: https://goo.gl/maps/a571X3GFa7qjtohGA This leg will start from the Quality Inn & Suites in Craig, CO and go east on Hwy 40 (Victory Hwy) through Steamboat Spgs. and stop on top of Rabbit Ears Pass (Continental Divide, elev. 9426 ft.) for a quick stop. We’ll then go 3 miles and turn left and continue on Hwy 14 to Walden. There, we’ll stop for gas and another quick rest stop. We continue along Hwy 14 down Poudre Canyon and another rest stop alongside the Cache la Poudre River. After that, we
  4. This will be another long ride (~400 miles) through northwestern Colorado, northeast Utah, up into southwest Wyoming, then back into Utah. Although this is a longer than usual ride, we’ll have enough stops everyone's buns don't get too sore. 😁 We’ll first head south from Craig along Hwy 13 to Meeker. From there, we’ll head west on Hwy 64 and merge with Hwy 40 to Vernal, UT. From Vernal, we continue north on Hwy 191 through the Ashley National Forest to Red Canyon where we’ll cut onto Hwy 44 and go west around the southern edge of Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area to Manila. From
  5. This year’s leg will take us north from previous years. The main route will take us west from Ft. Morgan along Hwy 34 through Greely and Ft. Collins, CO. From there we will head north along Hwy 287 to Laramie, WY. In Laramie, we will take Wyoming Hwy 130, Snowy Ridge Rd., through the Medicine Bow-Route National Forest until it ends at Hwy 230. After going south for about 10 miles to Riverside, WY, we’ll take Hwy 70 to Baggs, WY. From there we head south back into Colorado for about 40 miles and end at the Quality Inn & Suites in Craig, CO. Dinner will be at the Quality Inn &
  6. Unfortunately, I'm coming from Colorado, and I'm not sure how many will be riding the leg from Heber City to Craig. I'm surprised, just like Bearcat, that there wasn't a poll at the beginning of each thread like in previous years. But that's ok. Was just wondering if a special rate was ever considered for us. Is there time to try to get a special rate? Is there a way to find out how many riders will be staying in Heber City that night? From what I can see so far, there's at least 3 of us. :tu
  7. Anybody block some rooms for us and arrange for a group price/discount? I just booked my room, and the reservation lady had no info on our club or us staying there. Anybody have any info????
  8. Recommend having the dinner and baton exchange in Castle Rock at the Rockyard American Grill & Brewing Company at 880 Castleton Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80109. This is just down the street from the Days Inn and Suites. A good time to meet would be 6 pm.
  9. Borg, Basically, you carry the travel bag with the baton (and a few other things), plan the route (which is usually I-70 west to just past Limon, CO then Hwy 86 to Castle Rock), make sure the GPS tracker is on so everyone else can see our progress, make sure anyone that is traveling with you fills out and hands in a ride waiver, and be the lead bike for the ride. Other than that, there's not much else. Others may chime in with additional stuff that I've forgotten. You said you'll be riding to the first stop in CO, is that Castle Rock? If so, then that would be perfect.
  10. For whoever will be the leg captain, I got some lodging info for the night in Castle Rock. Best prices seem to be the Days Inn and Suites at 4691 Castleton Way, Castle Rock CO 80109 (that's where we've stayed in the past). Rooms are $99 per night. Can't get a group rate 'cause we don't know how many will be on this leg. Phone # is (303) 814-5825. This is where we plan to start Leg 10 the following day. If someone has any better idea, let me know. Right now I can't Captain this leg because I just started a new job and have not earned enough vacation time.

  12. Whoever volunteers to be the leg captain for this leg, contact me (John Dextras, a.k.a. ColoradoKP) to coordinate the meeting point for the end of this leg. I will be the leg captain for the next leg, Leg 10, and those of us in Colorado want to move it back to Castle Rock; cheaper places to stay, and more places to arrange for the dinner / baton exchange.
