  1. I too never made it to prior AVR's and would definitely give a 2017 meet in Spirit Lake strong consideration. Thanks.

  3. Bam! You just made it too easy and now I'm registered for the event. Already registered at the hotel several weeks ago. It's going to be a long slow spring and summer......
  4. Okay…. I’m pretty sure that I will be riding the V2V Leg #9 from St. Louis, MO to Plainfield, IN this year on June 29th. That’s the Wednesday after the 2016 Li’l Sturgis WSVR weekend (June 24 to 26) in Sturgis, MI which I will be attending too. I don’t know if I want to leave from Sturgis and meander down to St. Louis over the next few days or go home (Muskegon area of MI) and then blister down there just to save 1 day of vacation. I’m trying to get some preliminary logistics down on how I’m going to do this. I can go it alone or better yet I would like to meet up with some others along, during, and possibly after the V2V ride. I’m wondering if there are some of you out there that – - Plan to ride that leg - Plan to ride that leg and attend Li’l Sturgis - Want to meet up along the way - Could “put up” one or several Vic riders along the way I’d like to hear some others thoughts on this. Like I said, I can do it alone, stay with some friends or relatives in southern IN but I’d also enjoy the opportunity to meet some other VMC members, Vic riders, or even some riders in general. What’s say? Input welcome.
  5. No, I don't think this person is a VMC member. My thought was that he would hopefully participate in a V2V leg and then decide it would be worthwhile to join. Maybe, maybe not. Others feedback is why I posted here before providing any response to that person. Great care needs to be taken on how to respond should we decide I thought I read on a V2V thread by spike160blue that other bikes are welcome but the baton must be carried on a Victory. Granted other bikes does not necessarily mean non-VMC members but.... Immediately after posting earlier I sent c2pin a PM requesting feedback.
  6. Gentlemen - I was on FB yesterday and someone from PA wanted a contact person for the V2V ride. I'm not sure if this forum is open to the public so I did not recommend him viewing TheVMC site..... yet. V Busby - would you be willing to be this person's contact? Let me know. Naturally I will keep any of your contact information confidential to that person. IF IT DOES NOT VIOLATE A VMC RULE..... and if you are a FB user, would you mind posting the route listing and dates on Victory Motorcycle Owners Group? I'm not sure it does or why it should but others may know. Oh, thanks for chairing this event. (BTW I lived in Sumter from 83 to 86. Great fishing on the Santee! Saw lots of snakes and gators. Ah, wish I rode a bike back then.)
  7. Booked my rooms at the Marriot via 800-228-9290 number originally provided. Yes, the lady I talked to on the 800 number was a little difficult to understand. It sounded like she was from India or thereabouts. Tried the internet link but it responded stating there are no available rooms in that block.
  8. Be glad to once I get it on. I left the trunk on for traveling this weekend to Rhode Island.
  9. Recd the Retro Chrome Vision Pssgr Rack some time last week while I was attending the VMC Meet. It fits snug between the pssgr rest supports and looks good. There is no weld heat discoloration anywhere. Thx Will.
  10. Found your thread on this QD (quick disconnect) concept. Its interesting BUT I imagine most of the time I will ride wth either the trunk or the rest / rack combo. I don't really see me riding with just the rest or just the rack. Nice talking with you today. Look forward to receiving the rack.
