  5. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Nick "2 Shoes" Holton and the Northern Michigan Victory Riders as well as Tim "Peddler" Welbaum and the Wolverine State Victory Riders for hosting an OUTSTANDING VMC National Meet. I know I had a great time and everyone I talked to were having a great time too.
  6. Thanks again for posting the updated info on the VMC National Meet!
  7. Thanks for posting these rides 2_shoes!
  8. Was looking forward to the Sleeping Bear/M22 ride in the NE part of lower Michigan myself. Mini Iron Butt takes this all in but my butt is no longer made of iron and even a 'mini' may be too much for me. May have to improvise as 2_shoes suggests.
  9. Enjoyed following this year's V2V vicariously. Maybe some year I'll actually ride a leg.
  10. Having both lanes open depends on the weather or if workers are maintaining/painting the bridge, you never know until THAT day you are crossing. First time I ever tried going over to the UP the bridge was shut down to ALL traffic due to high winds. Next day only the center lanes were open due to moderate high winds. Had to ride the grating. Made me feel a little uneasy but as long as you stay in a straight line (bike does like to 'track' the grate) it's not a big deal. Both lanes ARE usually open.
