Yes, things are still moving forward; the final preparations are being made; and yes, at this time we are STILL looking forward to sharing a wonderful time with our fellow Victory riders from all over! The Shine On East Tennessee Backroads 2020 VMC National Rally is shaping up to be one of the best VMC events and one of the highlights of the summer of 2020! Maps will be made available at the beginning of the event so you can plan out your riding enjoyment for the weekend: whether you go alone on a self-guided cruise; tackle a fun ride with a small group; or take advantage of one of our guided rides we have planned for our visitors where we take you through the beautiful mountains and valleys of East Tennessee and the surrounding areas. The longer, guided rides will include scenic stops and lunch planned along the route as well as a bit of history in some cases. Along with our Thursday night "Vittles & Talks" at the Holiday Inn, we are planning a fun-filled weekend of spectacular, scenic riding; delicious dining options; live entertainment; bike games; and so much more. There is plenty of shopping nearby for those who so choose, and there will be a variety of vendors set up in the hotel parking lot offering Victory-related merchandise and services (Be sure and visit the "vendors" page on the website to see who IS signed up and be assured others will be there as we are still contacting more vendors). Each attendee will receive a Shine On East Tennessee Backroads 2020 VMC National Rally "Schwag" Bag, filled with keepsakes including a commemorative rally t-shirt, a rally pin, a rally patch and other items. Friday, after everyone returns from a great day of riding, we will be the guests of a very unique, local, business located just a few miles from the hotel in Tennessee's oldest town, Jonesborough. They have offered to provide live entertainment; plenty of outdoor seating; and host a bike show! Jonesborough's beautiful, historic, downtown shops and scenery are within walking distance and food trucks will be on-site offering a variety of popular, local dishes for dinner...giving us all a great opportunity to visit and get to know more of our extended Victory family. Saturday will offer more riding adventures through the East Tennessee mountains & surrounding areas throughout the day. The bike games will get underway around 4 pm in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn after our riders return. The evening will culminate with a banquet at the hotel followed by more opportunities to socialize and visit into the night before everyone checks out and heads for home on Sunday. Hello everyone and welcome...welcome to Summer 2020! Although the first "official" day of summer isn't until June 20, for most of us the weather is getting much warmer and motorcycle riding is ramping up and getting into full swing. Also, things seem to be getting back to "normal" as most states are beginning to move forward and open up restaurants, businesses and attractions as we head into the summer months. This is great news for ALL of YOU as WE continue to make exciting plans for the Shine On East Tennessee Backroads VMC National Rally being held this year in Johnson City, Tennessee! East Tennessee offers some of the best riding in the nation, if not the entire world. Many of our roads offer challenging twisties as well as sweeping curves, beautiful scenery, breathtaking views or just a leisurely outing through the mountains and the countryside. The surrounding areas are rich in history and there are plenty of places of interest to enjoy while you visit: from little country stores, scenic overlooks, state and national parks to exquisite eateries, landmarks, shopping and unique attractions. This year's rally will offer an abundance of picturesque, self-guided rides as well as several guided rides for your enjoyment. Ride lengths can vary from an hour or two to all day, depending on how far you want to travel. Regardless, you will experience some of the most enjoyable, fun and relaxing riding...ever. There will also be special events planned in the evenings for our attendees, including some wonderful dining, entertainment and, of course, visiting with old friends and making new ones while making everlasting memories. There will be bike games with some awesome prizes as well as vendors set up at the hotel offering a variety of services and products to further enhance your experience while enjoying the Shine On East Tennessee Backroads VMC National Rally.
