Pre-Registration for “Little Sturgis,” The Victory Motorcycle Club Great Lakes Regional Meet, has been open since late February and we’re excited to report that early registration for the event is way ahead of last year for this same time period. The Holiday Inn Express – Howe Sturgis, our Host Hotel and venue, is reporting a full house.

 

Pre-registration for Little Sturgis is very important, as it allows us to plan ahead for food, t-shirts and seating. Please consider doing as many others have and get your registration in early. Once again, here are the details:

 

EVENT: The Victory Motorcycle Club Great Lakes Regional Meet, aka: “Li’l Sturgis.”

 

DATE: Friday, July 25th – Sunday, July 27th, 2014

 

LOCATION: The Holiday Inn Express – Howe Sturgis, 45 W. 750 N., Howe, IN 46746

 

LODGING: The Holiday Inn Express – Howe Sturgis, 45 W. 750 N., Howe, IN, (260) 562-3660, Victory Motorcycle Club Room Rates - $81 per Night …… Additional lodging is available 0.9 miles North at the Hampton Inn – Sturgis, 71451 S. Centerville Rd., Sturgis, MI, (269) 651-4210, Victory Motorcycle Club Room Rates - $89 per Night (Note: Lodging is NOT included in the Little Sturgis Registration)

 

REGISTRATION: There are two ways to pre-register for “Li’l Sturgis. The preferred way to register is to go to www.paypal.com and make your payment to wsvrmi@gmail.com. Don’t forget to tell us your name, the number of people you are registering and the T-Shirt sizes for each registrant. If PayPal is not an option for you, send an email to wsvrmi@gmail.com and ask us to send you a mail-in registration form. When you receive it, print it and follow the instructions.

 

ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR “LITTLE STURGIS” …………

 

FOR FRIDAY ARRIVALS: Those arriving Friday evening can join the group for an informal ride to “Bill’s Steakhouse” in Bronson, Michigan for a great meal (This meal is not included in the registration fee).

 

THE ANNUAL “COOK & COMPANY” IDIOT RIDE: A spirited group ride, led by members of the Wolverine State Victory Riders, through Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana with a lunch stop along the way. The group will return to the event in time for socializing before dinner.

 

POKER RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS: Once again this year, Li’l Sturgis will be supporting the 9th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) Torch Ride for Special Olympics. The Torch Ride is a Poker Run that commences at Planet Powersports in Coldwater, covers roughly 125-miles of scenic Southern Lower Michigan and ends at the site of Li’l Sturgis in Howe, IN. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and closes at 2 p.m. with last bike out at 2:30 p.m. The cost for the Torch Ride is $25 per rider or $35 per rider with a pillion, which includes breakfast and a T-Shirt. Best 5-card-stud hand wins! This year you can register for the Torch Ride with your pre-registration for Li’l Sturgis and save $5 off the above stated fees.

 

STAURDAY EVENING DINNER: Dinner will be served around 6PM. The menu is still being developed.

 

SILENT AUCTION and DOOR PRIZES

 

MOTORCYCLE MOVIE SCREENING: We’re still in the works trying to pull off this one. If all the stars align, we hope to have an evening screening of the motorcycle movie “Why We Ride.” http://whyweride.com/

Li’l Sturgis registration includes T-Shirt and Dinner, Saturday evening.

 

ON-SITE REGISTRATION THE DAY OF THE EVENT: Add $10 to the Little Sturgis pre-registration fee shown above (Note: T-shirts and T-shirt sizes CANNOT be guaranteed for those registering the day of the event)

 

This event is BYOB and be warned … if it is judged a safety issue, we may ask for your scooter key’s and if you’re staying off sight, we’ll shuttle you back to your lodging for the evening.

There has been some confusion at our "Little Sturgis" Host Hotel, The Holiday Inn Howe, IN. They are now "unconfused!" (lol). There are still rooms available at the Victory Motorcycle Club rate of $81. As a reminder of Lodging options:

The DEADLINE for reserving a room with the Holiday Inn Express – Howe Sturgis at the Victory Motorcycle Club rate of $81 is Wednesday, June 25th. After that date, rooms will revert to regular rates.

For anyone interested in rollen' to Little Sturgis with us Friday July 26th here's the plan:

 

Meet up at Charlie's Bar & Grill just outside of Potterville @ 10am

Back road riden', small town watering hole stops and lots of fun will be the objective.

 

Please have a full tank of gas when you arrive at Charlie's. There's a gas station just off I-69.

 

This has become a tradition and is always a blast! Hope to see you there!
