cskiwild
Hello VMC MEMBERS! The Events Committee is looking for support to hold the 2020 V2V! We are asking for individuals to host legs f the Annual V2V. The Events Committee is waiting till the end of the Election process to start looking for people to get involved with the V2V Ride across the USA. The Events Committee will be contacting all Regional Reps for support of the historic Event! If you haven’t read about the V2V and why it was started please find that information and read about the history! It is my opinion that even though this Ride was started to honor the WW1 soldiers I believe it should also be ridden to honor all the woman and men that served our country! THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE BETWEEN JUNE21 to July 4th. This event depends on VMC MEMBERS participation! If you are interested in supporting the V2V please post here to find out what you can do to support the V2V! csmclobo
I rode on the first 2, and it would be great to take Blue Thunder on it again. I'll watch for details
Pushstart
As a RR from SC, I would be honored to help with this event. The "usual" route goes through Missouri and Kansas and those states are part of South Central Region.

cskiwild
Thanks Mark. I’ll let you know when I start the process. I’m hoping to get more responses to my call for members to participate. There are 13 or 14 legs that need to be covered. This year the route goes from West to east.

With apologies to Viv as I have done a bit of editing to her original email, here is the text I think should go out to the membership asap. VMC Nation, It is way past due to start serious conversation about V2V 2020. With Gene retiring from the position of V2V chair, the time for leisurely planning for this event has escaped. The BoD has discussed cancelling this year's event, but I would like to see if we can pull it together - it IS a landmark event for the VMC! I have listed the Legs for this year's rally in the hope that someone among our membership is willing to step up as Leg Captain for one or more legs. Due to our late start, we need to tie this down asap. I have hopes that we will be able to do this, keeping in mind that Covid 19 may impact our plans. I would like to start the planning with securing Leg Captains for all 13 legs. Of course, the start and end destinations of each leg would be up to the Leg Captains. The suggestions below are major cities close to the original Route 40. Also, more recognizable to folks not familiar to the specific area. If the destination is Castle Rock or Fort Morgan instead of Denver, again, up to the Leg Captain. I realize there is so much more planning to be done to pull off this magnificent event. If we can start with securing Leg Captains, the rest of the planning can be completed as time permits. Anxious to hear thoughts and responses.
