OFFICIAL 2021 20th Annual VMC National Meet Thread

Greetings all,

Just registered for the rally and reserved reservations at Golden Nugget. Wife and I will be coming from Massachusetts. Plan on visiting relatives in Missouri and Colorado along the way.

Reading above posts I noticed I registered my wife incorrectly as she's not a registered VMC member. I'll have her register to make it correct.

UPDATE: Event Site and Registration Link HERE!

Hi everyone!  I’m Rose, and I am both the President of Sin City Victory Riders, Chapter 17 in Las Vegas, and the Event Chair for the 20th Annual VMC National Meet.  We are very excited and honored to be afforded the opportunity to host this prestigious event, show off our beautiful city and surrounding areas, and show our Victory Family an Epic Time!

In an effort to consolidate all questions and answers into one easy to find, search and reference location, we will be answering any 20th Annual National Meet in this thread alone.  We will be posting in other forums with similar instructions linking here.

As much as we want to put it all out right now, we have been advised to pursue a more methodical timetable.  As such we expect the website to be up and operational in its first revision in 3 to 6 weeks.  Q&A here after the website goes live will be much more responsive.

Persons that will be officially responding to questions on behalf of the hosting chapter will be:
Myself ?      President                 “Sweet Pea”
Danielle        Vice President       “mom3moos”
Levi                Secretary                 “theflashman”
Phil                 Spokesman             “PrometheusVII”

In closing, I hope you guys are as exited to come out to Vegas as we are to be hosting it.  We all look forward to seeing you when September rolls round!

Bumping this Video - great job all of you!

Do you have an anticipated number of attendees yet? Just wondering because I already have my countdown app on my phone!! ?

HAHahaaaa!???.  That changes weekly, but we are looking good at the moment.  As I am told, a Lot of folks wait till almost the last minute to register, so the current numbers don't tell the whole story.  Jim assures me we are doing well/on par compared to previous years.

We look forward to seeing you at the Meet!  Keep that countdown app rolling!...

Curious what will be included with registration fees other than 1 dinner? Will there be t-shirts? Challenge coins? Something?

There will be an Event T-Shirt, Patch and Pin.  Additional items will be whatever sponsors would like to add, traditionally promotional items (examples are koozies with our logo on one side and the sponsors logo on the other, bottle openers, keychain fobs, etc).  Our focus is to find a balance between filling the swag bags and donating as much as possible to Our Chosen Charity, The Ronald McDonald House of Las Vegas.

We look forward to seeing you here!

I think 300-400 is typical.

As Drnoleak stated 300-400 is about right. But due to COVID things have changed. During the 2020 National Meet there was about 234 that showed up. There were cancelation due to Borders being closed and no overseas flight. We estimated that there will be about 300.

Hello VMC members,

I would like to pass along some info for all of you riders in the Northeast who plan on attending the VMC National Meet in Las Vegas this September.  I, and some other members are faced with the dilemma of how to get there and home in a reasonable amount of time and still have our bikes there to ride.  There were lots of ideas floating in my head, but me and another member of my club were able to put together a program with Haulbikes.com to have our bikes shipped to Las Vegas and back at a very reasonable price and time frame, thus allowing us to fly there and back and still have our bikes there to ride.

In order for that to happen, we need to fill their trailer with 25-27 bikes.  If we don’t fill a trailer, the lead time on the outgoing an incoming transport is 3 weeks on both ends, thus losing our bikes for good riding at home for over a month and a half.  If we are able to fill a trailer, the lead time is cut significantly, and they are able to pick them up 5 days before the rally, and have them back to us 5 days after the rally.  In order for that to happen, we needed a centralized pick-up point for all the bikes.  The plan is to have the bikes in Las Vegas for September 4th, so anyone planning on being there all week can have their bikes available.  For those coming later, Haulbikes secured and insured depot is right in Las Vegas, and your bike would be available for pick up any time during their normal business hours that week.  The info is as follows.

Northeast pick up location on August 30th - Clifton Park, NY (20 miles north of Albany, NY)

Rendezvous location in Las Vegas – Bikes would arrive at Haulbikes.com Las Vegas secured depot on September 4th, and need to be dropped back off for the return trip to the Northeast any day on or before September 12th.

Northeast drop off location on September 17th would be the same location as pick up.

Cost per bike would be as follows, based on how many bikes we are able to reserve to put in the trailer:

25 bikes - $875/bike

26 bikes - $850/bike

27 bikes - $825/bike

I have already been asked by a few members if they can use the service for one way only.  Given that we need to fill the trailer, the only way possible for that would be to pay for a round trip ship, or split it with someone else.   If you want to do only one way, please contact me, and I will see if I can match you up with someone else looking to ship in the opposite direction from you, thus maintaining a full trailer.

Please let me know if you have any interest in participating.  It will be on a first come, first served basis.  If there is enough interest in it, I will certainly see if we are able to do two trailers.  If interested, I would need a non-refundable deposit of $400 to me on or before June 30th.  In the event that we do not hit the 25 bike minimum, the deposit will be refunded.  Any questions, please contact me on my cell at 516-987-4087

Thanks,

Pete Schroeder
