Pushstart
Three people completed all 13 legs in this one year! I believe they need a round of applause and special recognition. In the last group beach picture (above) they are from left to right. Dave Crew Kat Cornell Jason Cornell Brent Fletcher (on the right) has completed all the legs in one year before also. Possibly more than once. Brent will need to clarify that.

Snowman808
A VMC member that goes "All The Way" should receive a patch, free of charge, signifying the accomplishment. The patch should read, at minimum, V2V - ALL THE WAY with the VMC logo. We have to remember that going all the way requires doing it twice because you need to get back home. Patches will never expire as long as dated information is not included on the patch. Congratulations to Trailer Dave, Kathleen & Jason!!! Rode legs 10 & 11 with them. Hey Dave....still got some of my ice leftover? ?

dfdcapt
Congrats to Dave, Kat, and Jason great job, now safe travels home!!! V2V always a great time we apologize for not spending more time with old friends and not going far enough to see others but always nice to see you hope you all good health and maybe we’ll see you next year. THANKS Pushstart for all your hard work and pictures
wind walker
It’s seems to me that the enthusiasm for , and during the V2V this year was more than could be expected. Vivian, Pushstart, puts so much is organizing and corresponding-many calls and spreadsheets- with the legcaptains. She gets much needed congrats! Every leg captain must plan the route, set up the hotels….keep 16-26 riders gassed up, and accounted for. Some of the captains had to explain that you can’t ALWAYS ride 40 Highway like they did 20 years ago! I don’t want to give these last three riders participation trophies for riding across the country. They deserve so much more. Let’s discuss this amazing accomplishment. I love this a club! 6

Tom Wise and/or Patti Rowe-Wise might know best.
tyrant
Just a few more from 10-11 and 11-12. Took a new route on Leg 11 - pretty sure it was a success. Only nerve wracking point was getting hit by a dust devil. But we’re tough! Thank you again to everyone that joined this Leg. Met fantastic new people and spent time with old and cherished friends. We started the day with 7 Visions, 6 Cross Country’s, 1 Spyder and a truck. Picked up another Vision and Cross Country at lunch in Wendover. A total of 19 of us rolled into Ely NV around 2:30 (that time change got me!) and met up with Brent Fletcher. PS - have a bunch of other pics I tried to post but site is telling me they’re too big. Darn it!!

DirtyTwin
Took a while, but here is the ride report from leg 9 to 10!! starting with leg 9, Johnny D did a fabulous job, pretty scenic ride across the eastern planes, up the base of the foothills into Wyoming, nice lunch in Centennial Wyoming, (thanks to our 2 Michigan'rs for riding up to lunch with us, was good to meet you), one waiter, one cook and they had us in and out in a little over an hour!!!! IMPRESSIVE! Ride over Snowy Range and Battle Mountain, terrific, now,,, about that bike wash from Baggs WYO to Craig CO? ??, man that was something!! every body on the leg got there VMC riding thru slop certificate validated, trailer Dave is a full on rockstar!! pulling a trailer (or being pushed by one), thru that rain and a 1 lane mud "road" with a 4 ft drop off on each side, very impressive! still not sure how he managed to miss the construction barrel in the middle of a 1 lane road, but he got her done! THANK YOU to our taxi service for the shuttle from the hotel to dinner and back to the hotel in Craig,,, could not have happened without you 2 ladies, these selfless acts of kindness are exactly what makes our VMC family so special. despite the torrential rain, despite the long day, despite the 70 mph winds and the "mud" adventure and of course the lightning strike that knocked out the gas pumps when Bill only had 45 miles of fuel and the next gas was 55 miles away! (got that done too!), a fun great big happy smiling family arrived at the "the bomb shelter" of a hotel in Craig,, everyone was having a good time and laughing about the day we had just had, and excited about the next days adventure.

tyrant
For those that were in Springville UT (legs 10 - 11) and felt the aggravation we went through trying to enjoy dinner, see the below two reviews I posted to Yelp. Hopefully I properly captured the 'mood'. Cracker Barrel If we could give less than 1 star we would. On Friday, July 1st, I was part of a group of 20 motorcyclists passing through Springville, UT and staying at the Days Inn across the parking lot from this location. Due to the size of our group we tried to make a reservation for 6:30pm out of courtesy only to be advised CB wouldn't do a reservation - we had to just show up and give our name. We arrived at 6:30pm and gave our name and were told it would be a 45 minute (or so) wait - we moved outside and began our wait. After close to an hour, and watching many small groups come and get seated, I went to ask how much longer. At that point I was advised the manager had just told them not to seat anyone else and it was doubtful they would be able to seat us even if we waited another hour. We had sat there waiting an hour - they had my phone number - and we only found out because I stepped up to ask. Add to that, the manager would not come out to talk with me when I asked to speak with him/her. So, now it is 7:30pm and we have no place to go as we don't know the area and no one wanted to go gear up and try to find someplace else that could accommodate our group after already riding all day in heat and rain as we came from Las Vegas and Colorado. And we were starving. I think Cracker Barrel lost the future patronage of each of us not to mention the people that could see/hear what had happened to us were pretty disappointed with the poor treatment of us that they were witnessing. I get that we are living in trying times - I DON'T understand treating customers in such a poor manner. Pizza Hut On July 1st I was part of a group of 20 motorcycle riders coming in from Colorado and up from Southern Nevada/Northern Arizona. After rain for one group and heat for the other - we arrived hungry! We were staying at the Days Inn across the parking lot from Cracker Barrel and had planned our dinner at 6:30 there. After putting our name on their list and waiting an hour at CB we were advised they wouldn't seat us after all. At a loss, first thought was pizza. Called this Pizza Hut at 7:30 (close is 8apm) and asked them to make 9 pizzas. No hesitation. They made us all 9 pies and didn't skimp. Pies were delicious. Staff was very accommodating and kind. Cannot thank the staff for saving us from having to find someplace else so late in the evening in an area none of us are familiar with. You guys rock! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
