THANK YOU TO ALL 2012 LEG CAPTAINS & PARTICIPANTS

Recommended Posts

Hi all - Thank you to all of you for making the 13th Annual Victory Highway Relay a success. There were quite a few "snaffoos" and lots of weather (I know my spelling sucks), but all of you came through with flying colors!!! Here is an update on a couple of things:

The banner for Papa Vic is being sent to Tom Keller, so it can be presented to his family.

The remaining shirts and pins must be sent to me and as soon as possible.(do we even have any left?) When I receive them, I will send to all who have requested them. After that they will be available at the store.

All monies received need to be sent in the envelopes provided as the Blue Star Mothers next packing is 7.9.12 and they can use the money!!

Now- the hard part.....All of my leg captains know this already, but this was my last year as Chair for this event. As of 7.4.12, I have resigned from this position along with my position on the events committee. I no longer have the time to devote. It has been so much fun for me to "lead my herd of wild cats" and will truly miss all of you. Thank you all again and ride safe.

I need to apologize for crashing and making you guys fry across eastern Colorado and Kansas. Its been 4 weeks and with 5 broken ribs I am getting better but it's going to be quite a while longer before I'm up to full speed. The bike wasn't quite totaled and has parts coming.

I was almost out of the north end of Yellowstone and going around a curve and the road ahead was covered with gravel and rocks. Wiped out doing about 45.
