16th Annual VMC Great Lakes Regional Meet: "Li'l Sturgis - The Finale

This will be the final year for "Little Sturgis," as the "VMC Great Lakes Regional Meet will be moving in 2017."

 

The date for the "Little Sturgis - The Finale" will be June 24th - 26th, 2016.

 

The venue is the same:

 

The Holiday Inn Express – Howe Sturgis

In as rooms are limited, we'll be setting up another hotel on the Sturgis side of the border real soon. Keep an eye on this thread for details.

ANNOUNCEMENT #1

 

In as 2016 marks the "Finale" for Li'l Sturgis, We're enlisting the services of one of Michigan's nationally acclaimed culinary professionals and 2014 World Chef Challenge Champion, (and "Peddler's Son-in-Law), Chef Steven Grostick to prepare our final meal. We're thinking Beef Brisket and Smoked Chickens with all the fixins'.

ANNOUNCEMENT #3

 

This year we will not be having the usual poker run; however, we will be offering two group motorcycle rides. Each ride will be approximately 4-1/2 hours in the saddle with a lunch stop about half way through the ride.

 

The routes have been selected to show off some good motorcycle roads in Michigan.

Motorcycle Performance Enhancement - All weekend

 

Our own Victory Motorcycle performance expert out of High Springs, Florida, Kevin Cross and his Southern Motorworx Mobile Dyno will be on site all weekend performing Dyno Tuning and Cam installation. Kevin offers “the complete prescription for your Victory Motorcycle needs.”

 

To schedule cam installation and/or a dyno tune contact Kevin at kevinx@southernmotorworx.com with subject line, “Little Sturgis.” Include in your email the type of bike, the mods you’ve had installed on your bike and the mods in which you’re interested. Kevin will get back with you.

1) The "Lake Michigan Ride" will leave the Holiday Inn Express Howe-Sturgis and head Northwest through the twisties in some of Michigan’s most scenic farm country. The group will stop for lunch in South Haven, Michigan at the “Back to the Fifties” drive-in. This luncheon is sponsored by Lakeside Motorsports of Mecosta, Michigan. Your $20 Registration fee grants you participation in one of two motorcycle tours with lunch provided, a fabulous dinner provided by a nationally acclaimed and award winning Chef and, entertainment by one of St. Louis' top Classic Rock Bands.

 

"Li'l Sturgis" is located on the grounds of the Holiday Inn Express Howe-Sturgis, 45 W. 750 N, Howe, IN 46746.

 

Pre-Registration ends at Midnight, May 31st. There will be on-site registration the day of the event, but event t-shirt availability is not guaranteed.

 

... and don't forget, Kevin Cross and his Southern Motorworx Mobile Dynomometer along with Mike VanBavel of Gonzo's Garage will be on site conducting a "cam party" with performance exhaust installation and dyno tuning.
