National Meet 2015

I made hotel reservations and registered for the meet this morning!! Right now it is just my son Mike and I, but that could change if I can get the wife to come along.

 

I'm really looking forward to this!!!

We are thinking of flying in. Is there any motorcycle rental locations around Nashville airport? I did the ride last year for the Indian meetings in Nashville but it was a 17 hour ride and over 1100 hundred miles each way. I was at Sloan's (great people by the way) last year but I don't remember seeing any rental area.

Has anyone seen a schedule of events or anything as such? This will be our second national meet, we were at Hot Springs a few years ago and had a great time.

We are leaving on August 12 and riding the full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way, then we will be in Maggie Vally for 3 days to ride the Smokies before heading over to the meet.

If anybody wants to join for all or part of the experience PM me and I will give more details.

Just saw this posted by someone on Facebook who shared the event from the VMC Facebook page and thought it should be posted here and on the National Meet Registration page, since it disagrees with what is on the National Meet Registration page: "Just a friendly reminder about the national meet coming up August 20-23 in Murfresboro TN. We will be closing early registration on July 31st but need everyone to register by 7/24 to ensure a goodie bag and shirt. Anyone registering online after 7/24 will be first in line for what ever we have left over for goodie bags which includes your shirts but we cannot guarantee we will have enough for everyone, so please register now. For those registering on site we cannot guarantee a good bag or shirt but you will be able to go to the dinners.

I think I am going 95 to 76 to 81 then down to 40. I think that will be the fastest way. I have been looking into the airport shuttle for my wife. If I am on time I will pick her up. I think she gets in around 3:00pm on Wednesday I will need to check.

Anyone going to the Dragon on Thursday? I will be in Lenoir City Wednesday pm and all day Thursday and riding the Dragon and other roads solo. It would be cool to meet up with some Vic Riders. I will be headed to the Embassy Suites on the 20th for the entire Meet and all it has to offer. This is going to be fun4sure...

fyi...rooms are still available at the host hotel, you just wont get the club discount. I called today for a friend and they still had a few rooms left but they said discount wouldn't work. so the room will cost $165. this will be my 1st big event and im riding the tail of the dragon and skyway on Thursday. leaving embassy around 8am. I might have 1 person leaving with me but multiple people joining up at dragon or on the way back. if you want to meet up or join me for the ride....call or text me at 8167298044
