    Remember, this is all about the silent auction at the National Meet in Lewiston - Victory Corporate is looking at donating something extremely cool but you have to pick it up at Sturgis.  They are not likely to make this donation if only a handful of people will be bidding on it.  

    I'm thinking maybe for those not attending the National but who will be at Sturgis, some sort of proxy bidding could be arranged?

    The reason I'm asking is that I've been talking with Victory Corporate about the silent auction. They may have a very cool - something - to donate, but it would only be relevant to someone who was going to Sturgis after the National Meet.

     

    So don't be shy. If you are going, please post it up here and maybe we can get this thing for the auction.

    I'm getting a lot more responses to this poll on our FB page than I am here, but the ratio of "for" vs "against" is almost identical.  So we'll likely go ahead with them and leave it up to each individual whether or not they want to wear theirs.

    Name tags - some people like them, some people don't.  

    We are thinking of making up very nice name tags on lanyards for next year's meet in Lewiston.  These would be personalized with each attendee's real name and VMC screen name and possibly VMC #.  However, we don't want to go to the time and expense of making these up if people will not wear them.

    Therefore, please let us know what you think in this poll.

    2013 HOTEL ROOMS ARE GOING FAST!!!

    I just received the most recent report from the Red Lion.  There is still ONE room left in the hotel!!!!  

    Below is information about the overflow hotels.  Please keep in mind that if you weren't able to get into the Red Lion, don't despair!!  There will almost certainly be a few who will have to cancel as we get closer, and if you keep checking back with the hotel you might be able to get in after all.  Don't give up!!

    Hey folks - I know as we get closer life will get in the way for some, and they won't be able to attend.  What I'd like is, if you find yourself in that situation,  please contact me before throwing your room out to the public.  At this point we have the entire hotel.  I am keeping a list of people who are in the hotels across the street and waiting for an opening.  If you call the hotel and cancel, then your room is up for grabs by the general public (i.e. non-VMC people).  If you will let me know I will have the Red Lion take your name off the reservation so you are covered.  Your room will go to the next person on the waiting list.

    Yes, the Red Lion is now officially full.  But as Salty said, the Inn America is directly across the street, so don't let that stop you if you haven't booked a room yet.  Contact information for Inn America is posted on the website.  Let's see if we can fill TWO hotels - LOL  :y: :y:
